Job description

Overview

Undergraduate Peer Success Coaches (PSCs) support the Student Success Office by facilitating one‑on‑one coaching, leading workshops, and contributing to transition and outreach activities. PSCs receive training in coaching practices and academic skill development. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Host coaching appointments in person or from a private virtual‑meeting space. 
  • Work 5–6 hours/week (up to 10), including some evenings/weekends. 
  • Commit to at least two terms during the 2026–27 academic year. 
  • Participate in required training, weekly professional development, and team meetings. 
  • Provide non‑judgmental, collaborative academic support. 
  • Prepare for workshops/appointments by reviewing relevant academic skills materials. 
  • Complete administrative tasks including attendance, payroll submissions, feedback collection, and client reports. 

Required Qualifications 

  • Registered undergraduate student in good academic standing. 
  • Strong communication, leadership, and professionalism. 
  • Experience working with diverse student populations. 
  • Initiative and a willingness to take on tasks. 

Assets 

  • Experience presenting to groups. 
  • Experience mentoring or tutoring students one‑on‑one.
