In honour of Earth Day, we invite you to join us for our annual campus clean-up! We will provide you with bags, gloves, and litter pickers. There are a number of litter "hot spots" on and around main campus that we'll tackle in smaller groups.

Tuesday March 12 (evening - GreenHouse) and Saturday March 16 (all day – E7)

SDG Impact Challenge 2024 is a sustainability hackathon hosted by SDG Impact Alliance in collaboration with UW Entrepreneurship Society. The aim is to educate about the global goals, promote problem solving and create a space where students from different faculties, skill sets, and perspectives work in teams to find solutions to pressing global issues such as sustainability in transportation, housing, energy, finance, social well-being, and climate change etc.

​The Sustainable Impact Summit is an event designed to celebrate and promote the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) during the UN SDG Week in March.

Join the Waterloo Climate Institute's Climate Leaders program for a full day convention tackling all aspects of climate action. The dynamic schedule will include presentations, workshops, hands-on art installations, performances, and poster-sessions.

All students are welcome.

Co-hosted by Waterloo Climate Institute and GreenHouse. In small groups, participants will explore the design thinking principles and will ideate solutions and recommendations for campus climate action

Do you have any electronic appliances, kitchenware, clothing, or jewelry in need of repair? 

4RepairKW is hosting a free repair workshop for the campus community. A band of repairers will be available to fix electrical items, sew or mend clothes, and sharpen knives and scissors, among other things! 

We want to invite you to a free workshop on making our theatres and arts institutions more sustainable. Led by one of Canada's leading figures in field of eco-design practices - Ian Garrett (Director of the Centre for Sustainable Practices in the Arts).

The Waterloo Alt. Protein Project is a student design team focused on engineering the future of food through research, entrepreneurship, and innovation. We are one of Canada’s first chapters of The Good Food Institute (GFI), amongst almost 60 chapters worldwide.
