This month of July, Plant Operations - Environmental Services have teamed up with the Sustainability Office to highlight a Plastic-Free July. To do so, we welcome the University community to take the Plastic Free Pledge!
The goal of the pledge is to comit to reducing your plastic waste consumption and recycle as much as possible. By taking the pledge, your are comitting to try and reduce your plastic consumption at much as possible!
Each week, take part in fun activities and challenges shared through our social media accounts. Activities include word searches, crosswords and more!

Tips for Reducing Plastic Consumption
We know it is very difficult to completely stop using all types of plastic. Below are some helpful tips you can use to try and reduce plastic use in your life!
- Use a reusable coffee mug
- Use a reusable bag when shopping
- Use an eco-container at the University
- Buy second-hand first
- Shop at a bulk store
- Go to a zero waste store!
