Overview
Would you like to contribute to the campus and work with others who have a desire to accelerate campus sustainability? As a Green Volunteer, you will make a positive impact on the campus through campus-wide events and campaigns, connecting with others across the University’s community, and learning more about sustainability!
The Sustainability Office also has a variety of program opportunities to get involved with sustainability actions on campus, including Green Residence, Green Office, and Green Labs.
As a Green Volunteer, you will help to:
- Promote environmental sustainability and sustainable development in the University community through events, workshops and booths

Share your own experiences and understanding while enhancing your own knowledge on campus operations and progress

Create a positive impact on the University by working with the campus community to enhance engagement and education on sustainability

Requirements
- Part of the University of Waterloo community (i.e. student, staff, or faculty)
- Have an interest in environmental sustainability and be aware of or willing to learn about Waterloo's commitment to environmental sustainability
- Professional with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Frequency
- There is no minimum time commitment to become a Green Volunteer - volunteer for as many or as little opportunities as you like

Volunteer opportunities will be offered throughout the year, normally tied to events and campaigns (e.g. Earth Month, Waste Month, Eco Summit)
