It's officially growing season! From May 15-16, the Sustainability Office will be hosting a seedling swap to engage the campus community on gardening, food security, and local food systems.

People who have excess seedlings (whether grown themselves or acquired elsewhere) can swap for other seedlings, or simply donate them. Those who are interested in getting seedlings but do not have seedlings to trade can bring a non-perishable food item as payment. The donated food will be given to WUSA’s Food Support Service. Any leftover seedlings will be donated to a community organization.

  • Drop off seedlings on May 15 from 9:00am–4:00pm or May 16 from 9:00–10am at CPH 2385. Kindly label your seedlings. You will receive tickets to swap for new seedlings.
  • The swap will take place on May 16 from 12–2 pm in the EV3 foyer, where you can "shop" for new seedlings.
  • We will gladly accept fruit and veggie seedings, house plants, wildflowers and native plants, but please do not bring invasive species!
  • Note that we will accept a maximum of 5 non-perishable food items per person.
