Andrea leads the planning and implementation for programs, events, campaigns, collaborations and communications related to sustainability, both on campus and in the broader community. This includes student engagement opportunities like the Green Residence and Living Planet @ Campus program, employee engagement opportunities like Green Office, Green Labs, and the Sustainability Certificate, as well as an annual calendar of sustainability events such as Earth Month, Bike Month, and Waste Reduction Month. She also leads communications for the Sustainability Office, including social media, blogs and news feed, monthly newsletters and more.
Andrea brings experience from Reep Green Solutions, a local environmental charity, where she worked as the Customer Engagement and Outreach Coordinator and Waste Reduction Advisor.
Andrea remains active in community networks related to sustainability, including:
- Member of the Ontario College and University Sustainability Professionals (OCUSP)
- Member of the Inter Municipal Partnership for Active Transportation (IMPAcT)
