Green Programs Coordinator

Alyssa Ford supports campus laboratory sustainability programming in support of the University’s Environmental Sustainability Strategy and associated Shift: Neutral climate action plan. Alyssa develops and implements programming that directly engages students and staff to raise awareness of sustainability issues and encourages the adoption of laboratory sustainability best practices for energy reduction, waste management, chemical certification, and water conservation, among other environmental topic areas. 

Alyssa brings experience as a Program Coordinator for Sustainable Waterloo Region, a Sustainability Projects Coordinator for the University of Waterloo’s Sustainability Office, and an Operations & Sustainability Coordinator for a private Value-Engineered Solutions company.

Alyssa remains active in community networks related to sustainability, including:

  • Member of the Green Labs Ambassador Network
  • Member of Ontario College and University Sustainability Professionals
  • Member of the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL)
