Abstract

The purpose of this project is to assess the current recycling practices in place at the on-campus bar, the Bombshelter, and to analyze the effectiveness and “staying power” of recycling recommendations and awareness in a campus location. Two previous WATgreen projects have been completed regarding waste and recycling at UW’s Bombshelter Pub: Greening the Bombshelter, completed in 1994 and Greening the Bomber: An assessment of a Feds Business, completed in 2002. Both studies made recommendations on how the Bombshelter could “green” its recycling (and indeed other) practices.
