Abstract

A waste management study of the University of Waterloo Davis Centre Library, submitted as an undergraduate fourth year thesis. This report included details of the audit methodology, study, design, and results. The study, composed of Five separate experiments provides information about: the effect of adding and removing office desk paper recycling containers; the effect of adding extra white paper recycling containers with primer signs; the effect of removing white paper recycling containers with primer signs; the effect of adding informal depots with primer signs; and the effect of adding official recycling depots with primer signs. The composition of the library’s waste is provided per term, as well as recycling percentages.
