Systems Design Engineering Capstone Design Symposium

2017 capstone teamSystems Design Engineering's Capstone Design Symposium will feature 19 uniquely ingenious projects including an application to help students find compatible roommates and a device that evaluates  posture while exercising.

Biomedical Engineering's Capstone Design Symposium will showcase the latest biomedical innovations from final year Engineering students. Students will present and discuss their research from 1:00pm to 4:00pm with visual aids and tactile materials or prototypes to illustrate their research.

WaterTalk: Toward More Resilient Hydrosystems

WaterTalks logoAs part of the Water Institute's WaterTalks lecture series, Hamid Moradkhani and Alton N. Scott, the Endowed Chair in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Alabama, will present "Toward More Resilient Hydrosystems: Flood and Drought Hazards, Vulnerability and Risk in a Changing Climate".

The graduates of the Class of 1977 Systems Design Engineering have established an annual award to recognize a student entering the fourth year of Systems Design Engineering or Biomedical Engineering.  A combination of talents, interests and accomplishment describe the 54 unique individuals who survived the many trials and triumphs of the Systems Design Engineering Class of 1977, so the award recognizes students who have demonstrated accomplishment and creativity in (but not limited to) sports, politics, academics, work terms, philanthropy, business, the arts, and community service.
