Request for a Gender-Neutral Diploma

Use this form to:

Request a gender-neutral designation on your undergraduate or master’s diploma. By submitting, you are choosing to have “Baccalaureate” or “Magisteriate” appear on your diploma instead of “Bachelor’s” or “Master’s.”

Deadlines to submit the form for your convocation ceremony:

• Spring convocation – May 15
• Fall convocation – October 1

Important information

• This designation will appear on your diploma only. Transcripts and official verification will continue to use “Bachelor’s” or “Master’s.”
• Differences in terminology between documents may cause issues in certain situations (e.g., border crossing).
• Late submissions require a Request for a Replacement Diploma Form with applicable fees.
• Doctoral degrees are already gender-neutral.
