How do I obtain my user name and password? (for the first-time user)

Claim your Waterloo identity

Before you can sign in to Quest, you must claim your Waterloo identity by creating your username and password. You only need to do this once.

To claim your Waterloo identity, you'll need the following information.

  • Your last name/family name
  • Your first name
  • Your Ontario Universities Application number (you will receive your UWaterloo ID number via email after confirming your offer of admission)

Sign in to Quest

Navigate to the Quest sign in page. Select Sign in. Enter your username@uwaterloo.ca and password.
