Highlights 


Join WiMugrad for a relaxing Bonfire Night on June 26th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Enjoy music, s'mores, games, and a cozy campfire. This is a great opportunity to unwind before the upcoming exam season and get to know the WiMugrad Committee. You are encouraged to bring your own lawn chairs or blankets for comfortable seating.  

Open to all students, staff, and faculty members. This event is weather dependent!  

If it needs to be rescheduled, a new date will be shared.  

We can't wait to see you all there!

This presentation will engage with participants to explore what they know and what they think they know about 2Spirit and Queer-Trans Indigenous experiences and histories. Folks will also review some of the LGBTQ+ Pride history of Canada. Folks are encouraged to come with an open heart, mind and spirit. All are welcome!

Would you like to celebrate, deepen, explore some wonderful relationships in your life? If so, then this event is for you! 

This is an experiential pride event, with small group activities focused on enhancing our relationship with ourselves, others, our bodies, and food. Attendees will always be doing the activities with the important people they came with and a few others, in small groups, with group sizes ranging from 2-10. You will not be asked to speak publicly, volunteer for a magic trick or do a role play. The event will have max 30 people in attendance. Attendees will also have the chance to do an Ask Me Anything (AMA) with your local University Therapist (Washington Silk) and Dietitian (Courtney Wilson). 

This is an event for 2SLGBTQIA+ students, and their important relationships. 

When – June 30th, 1:00pm – 3:30pm 

Where – held in-person in the Black and Gold Room in the SLC

Zynga is inviting WiCS to visit their site in Toronto to meet with their women engineers!!  They can accommodate up to 20 students, and they need students to signup by July 7th in order for them to complete security registrations and NDA send outs.  WiCS will cover participants’ travel expenses up to $50 (you will need to pay and file for reimbursement – keep receipts!!). 

This event is for WiCS students.

The Faculty of Math’s Waterloo Ready event for first-year students will be on July 13th, and WiCS is running a Welcome Event for incoming women CS students that afternoon (2:30-4:00)We are seeking volunteers to come and mingle with students and volunteers to serve on an AMA panel.
