In collaboration with HockeyTech, a local company that analyzes data from hockey games, the AI system can help talent scouts determine which players to recruit and help coaches to better understand what makes one player superior to another.
CBB members awarded $1.4 million for infrastructure
Waterloo professors were awarded $1.4 million for infrastructure through the John R. Evans Leaders Fund (JELF) by the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI). This will provide researchers with the foundational research infrastructure necessary to lead in their field.

Collaborative Waterloo-Grand River Hospital project awarded funds to improve quality of life for older adults
An innovative and inexpensive tool kit to better assess balance and improve quality of life for older adults, as well as people who have suffered strokes, injuries, and other disorders has been awarded $50,000 to further testing and improvement.
