Midterm Proctoring/Marking and Final Exam Marking Requests

Deadline: 8:30 AM on Monday, January 26, 2026

Please use this form for all Midterm marking and proctoring requests as well as for Final exam markers. You will need to complete the form for EACH of your courses. You do not need to request proctors for final exams, these will be assigned automatically.

If you will be having a midterm during the last 2 weeks of September, and wish the Department to find proctors (these will be graduate students), please contact April ASAP. You do not need to request proctors for final exams, these will be assigned.  Please note that instructors will be responsible for finding their own midterm proctors if the request is not submitted by the deadline.

This is only for ADDITIONAL markers and proctors beyond those TAs/GTAs already assigned to your course. You will need to hire your own markers. Note that students that have graduated are not eligible to be hired as markers or proctors.

Marker hours must be allocated exclusively for tasks directly related to the grading of required course assessments. Hours submitted for activities that are only tangentially related to grading, or for assessments that are not mandatory components of the course, may not be eligible for departmental support.  Note1: Duties such as meeting with students, holding midterm viewings, and creating materials/rubrics for assessments are expectations of instructors, and are not eligible for additional support.  Note 2: Checking citations or suspected LLM/AI usage may be considered an element of the grading process, and would be eligible.

Marcel Pinherio will review your marking requests, and you will be contacted once a decision is made.

Please contact April if you have any questions about this form and Marcel Pinheiro if you have questions about your request.
