2024 Ontario Universities Program in Field Biology (OUPFB)
The Ontario Universities Program in Field Biology is hoping to run a full set of modules in summer 2023.
Please be advised that there is still uncertainty around whether these courses will run due to enrolment numbers. We will update this website to reflect changes as needed. Waterloo has reserved spots in the following modules:
- Module 2: Coastal Field Ornithology - 2 spots
- Module 3: Desert Ecology & Evolution - 1 spot
- Module 4: Adirondack Forest Ecology - 1 spot
- Module 6: Field Botany - Medicinal Plants in Flora of Ontario - 1 spot
- Module 7: Belize: Rainforest and Reef - 4 spots
- Module 10: Subarctic Aquatic Ecology - 2 spots
- Module 12: Urban Water Ecology - 1 spot
- Module 17: Effects of Human Development on Aquatic Environments and Biodiversity in Canada and China - 1 spot
- Module 18: Aquatic Insect Behaviour - 1 spot
- Module 19: Experimental Studies in Marine Biology - 1 spot
To apply, please go to the OUPFB website, fill out the Application Form, and submit the application form to Mrs. Sue Whyte (sdwhyte@uwaterloo.ca). Your completed application form, and a $350 deposit (Pay deposit here) is due on January 23, 2024.
Your deposit will be returned to you, if we cannot place you in a course.
We will be hosting an information session on January 11th, QNC 1507 at 4:30pm
