The Catalyst Summer Program costs $575+HST (Harmonized Sales Tax) and includes one participant T-shirt. A special bursary program is available for those in financial need. Please complete and submit a Catalyst Summer Program Bursary Application Form .
The registration fee of $575+HST is due only upon acceptance into the program. If accepted, applicants will receive an e-mail which provides information about using our registration system and paying the registration fee. There is no application fee for this program.
There is a $25 discount for Session I and III because there is no camp offered on the holiday Monday.
Catalyst offers online registrations for its programs. The following explains various policies surrounding registration, and how to register for our programs.
If arrangements for cancellations are made with Catalyst with more than 2 weeks notice to the start of the intended registered session, a full refund minus a 25% processing fee will be given. Cancellation requests with less than 2 weeks notice will be charged a 50% processing fee. There are no refunds for cancellations given with less than 48 hours notice.
Note: There is no charge for switching sessions (pending availability).
Catalyst accepts MasterCard, VISA and American Express. Credit card numbers are kept with the utmost security. All charges are processed directly by the university and will appear on your credit card bill as either "U of W Cashiers Office" or "U of Waterloo ESQ (Engineering Science Quest)".
All cheques should be post dated no later than June 1st of the current calendar year. If you register by fax or online, and wish to pay by cheque please clearly state that you are attending to pay by this method. All cheques should be made out to the University of Waterloo and mailed to our office. The address is on the bottom of this page.
Summer Program applications will be accepted in three rounds. For the first two rounds, up to twenty (20) applicants may be contacted and informed that their application has been received and registration can be completed, after the final closing date (round 3) the remainder of participants will be notified. Please note, we must receive the complete application (all 3 parts) before we will accept an online registration.
