Grades 4-6 and 7-9
Engineering Outreach is excited to offer STEMpowered After School Clubs, which are free four-week programs available for self-identifying Black youth.
Participants will cover a variety of STEM topics through hands-on activities. Explore new technology, design and build solutions to unique problems, and improve your coding skills, all while connecting with new friends and mentors during this in-person program! Each term runs new content!
4-Week In-Person Programs
When: Weekly evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 pm (See dates below)
Location: University of Waterloo, Waterloo Campus
Price: FREE for self-identifying Black youth
We are excited to offer free pizza (cheese/halal pepperoni) and snacks each week of the club. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate additional dietary needs.

Get ready for STEMpowered PD Day Camps!
For the Winter 2026 term, we will run free one-day programs available for self-identifying Black youth.
Participants have fun with hands-on activities by learning engineering design principles, try out some fun tech, connect creativity with STEM and explore the UWaterloo campus! Content will differ between PD Days - feel free to sign up for one or both!
One Day In-Person Programs
When: January 16, April 24; 9:00am - 4:00pm
