Brief description of the organization
The AI Hub is a Collaborative Centre at the University Health Network designed to augment human intelligence through healthcare innovation by continuously advancing AI technologies and accelerating their applications to provide the best possible care to patients and support healthcare providers.
Problem area
To obtain institutional authorization for a clinical research study, study teams must prepare an informed consent form that aligns with the organizational template and is easily understood by participants. This process is often time-consuming and requires multiple revisions.
Main objectives
This project aims to streamline the process by using generative AI to create a first draft that meets both clarity and compliance standards, reducing administrative burden. The student would be involved in the development and execution of the evaluation plan for this work.
Scope of work
Key steps involve requirements gathering, solutions design, data analysis, model training/refining, prompt engineering and evaluation. The student would be involved in the evaluation of this solution.
Team meeting frequency
Bi-weekly
