Thirty-five teams of fourth-year Chemical Engineering students shared the results of their Capstone Design project with fellow classmates, faculty, family and friends at this year’s Capstone Design Symposium in Engineering 6 on March 11, 2019.
The Symposium was an exciting conclusion to the past two years they have spent researching and attempting to solve some of the challenges our world faces. Each team conceptualized and designed a solution to a problem of their choice.
Congratulations to the Department of Chemical Engineering’s Denise Mueller, for her recent recognition by the Waterloo Engineering Society as this term’s Friend of the Society.
As the department’s Undergraduate Advisor and Program Administrator, Denise works hard behind the scenes every day to make students’ lives easier. She is well-known for her extensive collection of inventive stress reducers and smile inducers – and her enthusiasm for helping students cope with the stresses of school.
The Department of Chemical Engineering’s hosted its Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition on February 28th. The enthusiasm of the students – in the audience and at the podium – showed why this exciting event remains so popular.
Congratulations to the following people for their winning presentations:
