As alumni, we don’t have to tell you how valuable Waterloo’s Cooperative Education Program is in expanding the skills our students learn in the classroom. Nor do we have to tell you about the skills, fresh perspectives and excitement to learn on the job that our students bring to their co-op employment placements.
Hiring a University of Waterloo Chemical Engineering co-op student is a great way to stay connected with the Waterloo community and help foster the next generation of Waterloo Engineering talent. Find out how you can contribute to this paramount aspect of the Engineering program by visiting the Hire Waterloo website. You’ll find valuable information for new and returning employers, including steps to hiring and key recruitment dates.
You can also visit the Hire Waterloo website for more information on hiring part-time and summer students and new graduates and alumni.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is centralized within our Office of Indigenous Relations.
