Graduate Studies Seminar Series

Thursday, November 26, 2020 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm EST (GMT -05:00)

Join us to learn more about the exciting research being conducted by masters students in the Chemical Engineering department.

To graduate, MASc students must complete a degree milestone by presenting one research seminar before submitting their thesis. This term's series of MASc seminars, which will be assessed by the presenters' supervisors and one member of the Graduate Research Council, will include the following:

Presenter Seminar

Melika Keymanesh, Supervised by Professor Matsen

Entropic surface segregation for binary blends involving polymers of different flexibility

Hector Rodriguez, Supervised by Professor Sandoval

Implementation of Back-Off Terms in the integration of Scheduling and Control with parameter uncertainty

Anastasiia Zakharova , Supervised by Professor  Simakov

High Surface Area Cu/γ-Al2O3 Catalyst Synthesized by Reverse Microemulsion Method for CO2 Conversion via Reverse Water Gas Shift

Qiuyu Shi, Supervised by Professor Chen Gelatin coated self-made manganese dioxide as cathode material in aqueous rechargeable zinc-ion battery
Yuxiao Jiao, Supervised by Professor Chen Enzyme-instructed siRNA release and functional self-assembly of peptide-based delivery system
Linan Cui, Supervised by Professor Yim Altering hydrogel properties via surface topography

All graduate students are welcome  - and encouraged! - to attend these seminars. Each student that attends the full hour of seminars, including those presenting, will receive credit for seminar attendance.
