Join us to learn more about the exciting research being conducted by masters students in the Chemical Engineering department.
To graduate, MASc students must complete a degree milestone by presenting one research seminar before submitting their thesis. This term's series of MASc seminars, which will be assessed by the presenters' supervisors and one member of the Graduate Research Council, will include the following:
Presenter | Seminar |
---|---|
Binh Minh Trinh , supervised by Professor Mekonnen | Different strategies to improve barrier properties of starch-based materials for functional applications |
Sophie Campbell, Supervised by Professor Simon | Modification of Polysaccharides for Thermoplastic Processing |
Nima Amini, supervised by Professor Zhu | Deep learning for fault detection and diagnosis |
Chuhua Chen, supervised by Professor Feng | A parametric study for the preparation of chitosan membrane |
Qianyi Ma, supervised by Professor Z. Chen | Solvent clusters boost Zn deposition for Zn aqueous battery |
All graduate students are welcome - and encouraged! - to attend these seminars. Each student that attends the full hour of seminars, including those presenting, will receive credit for seminar attendance.
