Abstract:

Million tons of plastics due to human activities have been released into the aquatic environment causing issues to both marine habitats and human health.
When applied with UV radiation, these plastics can be further degraded into micro and nanoparticles. The objective of this research focuses on the development of softwood pulp foam using modified cellulose-based materials to optimize the removal efficiency of microplastics from aqueous solution.
