Join us to learn more about the exciting research being conducted by masters students in the Chemical Engineering department.
To graduate, MASc students must complete a degree milestone by presenting one research seminar before submitting their thesis. This term's series of MASc seminars, which will be assessed by the presenters' supervisors and one member of the Graduate Research Council, will include the following:
Presenter | Seminar |
---|---|
Karelle Guiao, supervised by Professor Mekonnen | Green thermo-mechanical processing of lignocellulosic biomass for lignin recovery |
Hussein Saafan, Supervised by Professor Zhu | Slow Feature Analysis Improvements for Process Control |
Irene Rodriguez Ruiz-Andino, supervised by Professor Anderson | Aptamer-based sensor for the detection of Cryptosporidium parvum in water |
Andre DaCosta, supervised by Professor Fowler | Investigation of Novel Clad Busbar Material in Lithium-Ion Battery Pack |
All graduate students are welcome - and encouraged! - to attend these seminars. Each student that attends the full hour of seminars, including those presenting, will receive credit for seminar attendance.
