Undergraduate Lecture - “Understanding Vapour Pressure and Relative Humidity” by Eline Boghaert, Lecturer, Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Waterloo

Monday, January 8, 2018 1:30 pm - 1:30 pm EST (GMT -05:00)

Biosketch: Dr. Boghaert joined the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Waterloo as a Lecturer in 2014. She teaches a variety of courses including Chemistry for Engineers, Engineering Biology, Mathematics of Heat and Mass Transfer, Physical Chemistry I and Statistics and Experimental Design. Before coming to Waterloo, she earned a Bachelor of Engineering from the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art and then continued her studies at Princeton University, where she earned both a master’s and doctorate degree in chemical engineering. Concurrent to her PhD work, she earned a New Jersey Teaching Certificate in both mathematics and physics allowing her to explore her passion for teaching by working as a full-time mathematics teacher at Hopewell Valley Central High School. This extensive experience and training in teaching have allowed her to excel in undergraduate teaching, as evidenced by the student nominated Engineering Society Teaching Excellence Award (2017). Her current research interests focus on engineering education and studying how students learn in an effort to improve teaching and learning at the University of Waterloo.
