Cap and Trade Game and Project "Postmortem" with Alex Fleck and Dr. Jason Grove 

Canadian Cap and Trade Simulation is a serious game/simulation designed to teach undergraduate Chemical Engineering and Environmental Studies students about carbon tax and trade systems in Canada created by Ph.D. candidate Alex Fleck and Prof. Jason Grove. The two will talk about the game and how it works as well as their experience in the process of game design.

You are invited to attend Hussein Saafan's MASc oral exam, where he will discuss his research into Improved Slow Feature Analysis for Process Monitoring.

You are welcome to join the department as Sima Lashkari defends her Ph.D. thesis, which explores a newly discovered approach which utilizes non-ionic surfactants to deliver non-surface active, hydrophobic ILs to the surface of dispersed graphene oxide (GO) and rGO. When these IL decorated sheets are cast as electrodes, the adsorbed layer is expected to define the electrolyte-filled pore space, potentially maximizing the electrode capacitance.
