Fourth year Nanotechnology Engineering students Matin Esfahani, Hooman Safaee, Shafi Siddiqi, and Mihail Vlascov were awarded $25,000 in start-up funding through the VeloCity Venture Fund. Their start-up is based upon their Fourth Year Design Project coursework developing transparent scalable displays, Lumotune.
The Lumotune group can be seen here with their award and one of their technical consultants, Prof. Abukhdeir, from the Department of Chemical Engineering.
The Lumotune group was also awarded the Nanotechnology Engineering Fourth-Year Design Project award last week. The Nanotechnology Engineering degree program is a multi-disciplinary program offered collaboratively through the Department of Chemical Engineering and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering, and the Chemistry Department in the Faculty of Science.
