Professor Hector Budman
Prof. Hector Budman has been awarded the  2014 D.G. Fisher Award that is presented to a Canadian resident by the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering, University of Alberta, Suncor Energy Foundation and Shell Canada Limited for major contributions in the field of systems and control engineering.

During his 22 years at Waterloo, Hector has conducted research in the areas of control and optimization in the presence of uncertainty and has studied the application of process systems engineering tools to biotechnological processes. He has collaborated with a number of faculty members in different areas of chemical engineering and with several Canadian companies through contracts and collaborative grants. The award will be presented at the CSChE 2014 meeting to be held in Niagara Falls"
