The 2017 CSCE Annual Conference & Trade Show held in Vancouver, BC, is a forum for practitioners and researchers to share experiences and findings on a broad range of civil engineering topics. This year’s theme, "Leadership in Sustainable Infrastructure" included specialty conferences in Mechanics and Materials, Environmental, Hydrotechnical, and Construction.
Presenting at the conference was one of CEE's Capstone teams, 4th year civil engineering students, Melissa Jennings, Erika Krutsch, Laura Luna and Elishua Ben-Choreen. Their presentation of a new floating, submerged tunnel joining Vancouver Island to the mainland, earned them first place in the National Capstone Competition!
The team was supervised by Dr Scott Walbridge and the capstone coordinator was Dr Chris Bachmann.
