Capstone winners announced

This year's Capstone Design posters stepped it up a notch with projects ranging from technology that reduces agricultural water waste, through intelligent irrigation systems, to a roller coaster that would thrill even the toughest adrenalin junkie.

Thirty-nine teams from Civil, Environmental and Geological Engineering, vied for the coveted position of winning GM Canada's Innovation Award for Best Poster, in their respective categories. Adding to the competitive vibe was the lure of $1000 for the winner of MTE's Best Poster Award overall.

The competition was fierce, but the judges finally narrowed it down to the following winning teams:
