We’re excited to announce that Professor Samer Al-Saber will be a featured speaker for the 2024 Silversides Theatre Artist Series on March 18, at 3pm. The lecture will be followed by a reception.
Created by uWaterloo Drama’s own Professor Naila Keleta-Mae in 2008, on love was further developed by uWaterloo Drama students during theirPerformance Creation course with Keleta-Mae in the fall. on love is a play about love and legacy; it is a Canadian story about the historic site in St. Armand, Quebec called Nigger Rock.

Joel will discuss his work with Studio 180, a theatre company in Toronto founded by Joel and uWaterloo alumni, and the company’s mission of producing socially relevant theatre. Joel will also address how his work with Studio 180 connects to his work with students and his teaching here at uWaterloo.
