The MBET '23 graduating class posing together for a photo in E7 at the end-of-year Tradeshow

We sent off the MBET class of 2023 last week at the annual end-of-year Tradeshow.

25 student ventures set up on the ground floor of the Engineering 7 building (home to the Conrad School), where passing students, faculty, staff and guests stopped by to learn more about the projects that MBETs have been working on for the last 10 months (or more!).

The Tradeshow was followed by a dinner where speeches were made, dessert was delicious and 5 student ventures were presented with prizes. Check out the winners and their ventures, as well as photography from the event, below.

Congratulations to our 2023 MBET Tradeshow award winners!

These were chosen by a panel of judges based on the succinct and effective delivery of their ideas during the Tradeshow, as well as the quality of the display.

First Place: HeadFirst (Andrew Cordssen-David): revolutionizing athlete safety through advanced concussion detection solutions

Second Place (tied): Sensablee (Christianna Ioannou): an IOT product that provides retail stores with the real-time inventory data they need to keep shelves stocked

Second Place (tied): Masana Beauty (Neha Grewal): a self-cleansing makeup brush to help solve skin issues from the root cause

People's Choice: MODS (Karam Nabahani): redefining the future of homebuilding by transforming residential development with modular innovation

Best Display: Niya (Josh Dhanapala): a platform that enables independent restaurants and small chains to launch a subscription-based loyalty program

Congratulations MBET Class of 2023!
