Award description:
A scholarship valued at up to $1,500 will be provided annually to a full-time graduate student registered in the first year of the doctoral program in the Department of Chemical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering. Selection is based on academic achievement (minimum 80% cumulative average or equivalent). Selection will be made by the Department of Chemical Engineering Graduate Review Committee annually in the Spring term based on the student’s application for admission to the program. This fund is made possible by a donation from Prof. Rempel’s wife, University Prof. Flora T. T. Ng in his loving memory.

Eligibility & selection criteria:
- Full-time graduate students registered in their first year of a doctoral program in the Department of Chemical Engineering.
- Selection to be based on academic achievement (minimum 80% cumulative average or equivalent).
- Selection will be based on the student's application for admission; a separate award application is not required.
- Award is in addition to the minimum guaranteed funding and can be held concurrently with another major award providing the other award has no restriction.
- The Department of Chemical Engineering Graduate Review Committee will identify candidates and select recipients normally each Spring.
