Are you currently studying in a traditional (i.e. non-co-op) program? Do you want to improve your career skills and market yourself to employers? Are you having trouble connecting the work you do in the classroom to your future in the workplace?
If you answered “yes” to any of the questions above, EDGE — the University of Waterloo’s new experiential education certificate program — might be right for you. Students who work through EDGE will leave campus with an essential set of skills and the ability to make clear, confident connections between their experience and employer needs.
In-person EDGE advising has been suspended indefinitely as part of the University's response to COVID-19. Online advising appointments are available or reach the EDGE team at edge@uwaterloo.ca.
If you've completed any co-op terms or certain courses, you might have earned EDGE milestones without knowing it! Learn more about EDGE milestone eligibility.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is centralized within our Office of Indigenous Relations.
