You can’t underestimate the power of saying ‘yes’ while early in your career. From volunteering to trying out a different sector to starting a master’s degree, saying ‘yes’ has helped ENBUS grad Alice Bao grow her professional network and build her career in the financial services sector.

The University of Waterloo's March Break Open House will be on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET.

Derek Coleman is a PhD graduate (1974) from the University of Waterloo’s School of Planning. A pioneer in environmental policy in Ontario Planning, Derek started one of the first environmental consulting firms in the province in 1972- Ecologistics Ltd. Since then, he has completed more than 1,000 projects in Ontario and six other provinces over five decades.

The graduating class of Knowledge Integration students will be presenting flash-talks followed by poster displays of their senior honours projects. Forming the capstone of their undergraduate career, these projects represent an exciting synthesis of the diverse disciplines the students have explored through this one-of-a-kind interdisciplinary program.

ENVigorate is back for its nineth year! From March 28 to 30, join students, faculty and staff in discovering sustainability workshops, exciting speakers, and fun events around how the Faculty of Environment is working towards realizing the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 

Being comfortable in chaos is no easy task. Just ask INDEV alum, Seyni Mbaye who works as a program officer at Results for Development supporting the Strategic Purchasing Africa Resource Center (SPARC) and the Health System Strengthening Accelerator (HSSA) projects for the progress toward Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in sub-Saharan Africa.

Discover what senior honours students from the School of Environment, Resources and Sustainability have been working on for their thesis research projects. Join them in the EV1 courtyard to talk about their findings and check out their eye-catching posters!

Join us at the Flood Impacts, Carbon Pricing, and Ecosystem Sustainability (FINCAPES) project launch; an international research and teaching project in collaboration with Indonesian partners on climate-change adaptation and mitigation strategies in the country. This is an opportunity to learn more and get involved with the project as well as meet the project team and our Indonesian partners, whose first-hand experience with the fight against climate change is the inspiration for the program.  

In honour of Earth Day, join the Sustainability Office's annual campus clean-up! There are a number of litter "hot spots" on and around main campus that we'll tackle in small groups. Bags, gloves, and litter pickers will be provided. We hope to see you there!
