Each year, the Faculty of Environment Awards Banquet brings together student recipients with the generous donors who have contributed to their success.

Green and social finance has grown rapidly in recent years, especially in the private sector. As economies across Asia and the Pacific work to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, how can governments nurture green and social finance to ensure that the recovery is inclusive, resilient, and sustainable?
 
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) explored these issues in a recent report forecasting the drivers and impacts of green and social finance and its prospects in the region.

The PhD Student Journey - Virtual Event with Professor Julian Agyeman

Join renowned Professor Julian Agyeman for a conversation on challenges and opportunities facing PhD students from different backgrounds, including thesis work, publishing, job applications, career trajectories and other topics relevant to PhD students in the Faculty of Environment. 

Dr. Agyeman will begin the session with a reflection on his own PhD studies and career trajectory, followed by ample time for questions and open discussions. This session is open to all current PhD students and post-doctoral students in the Faculty of Environment.

Indigenous research & Indigenous Environmental Justice

The Faculty of Environment invites you to attend a special Speakers Series on Decolonizing Methodologies for Respectful Sustainability Research

Sessions will take place during the last week of each month. The second session, featuring Professor Deborah McGregor from York University, is on November 3rd from 12:00 - 1:15 pm. 

Following the Speaker presentation, STEC will share information about post-talk interactive reflection sessions.
