The dean of the Faculty of Environment, Bruce Frayne,  reflects on 2024’s achievements, including the launch of Environment 2035, transformative student experiences, and groundbreaking initiatives like the Future Cities Institute. Gender and the Global Land Grab introduces a feminist conceptual framework to analyze land governance policy around the world. Dr. Andrea Collins shows how gender norms, biases, and expectations shape land politics at different levels of governance. 

The Government of Canada announced that Drs. Felicitas Egunyu, Amr ElAlfy and Helena Shilomboleni are Insight Development Award recipients. Each scholar has received funding to enable their research, furthering our collective understanding of individuals and societies, as well as to inform the search for solutions to societal challenges.
