If you said yes to these questions, we want YOU to apply to be an Environment Student Ambassador!

The primary role of the Environment Student Ambassador is to share their experiences with prospective students and their families
 at Open House events, over email, and throughout the school year. Ambassadors can also expect to represent their program in booths, run check-in stations, participate in presentations and panels, lead tours, and contribute to surveys, focus groups, offer acceptance initiatives and marketing opportunities. Please note that this role is expected to be in-person for the 2025-2026 school year

Expectations and Responsibilities:

As a Student Ambassador, you must be able to commit to at least 20 hours of your time over the course of your contract (training hours included). In addition to creating memorable moments for our guests, you'll also receive training and experience to help you improve your teamwork, public speaking, event planning, and marketing skills through this position. During your time in this role you will be expected to:

  • Complete all required Ambassador training
  • Have open availability for larger recruitment events:
    • Ontario Universities Fair (OUF) - Saturday, September 27, 2025 - Sunday, September 2, 2025.
    • Fall Open House (FOH) - Saturday, November 8, 2025
    • March Open House (MOH) - Saturday, March 28, 2026
    • You @ Waterloo Day - Saturday, May 23, 2026

*Please note: You will be expected to assist with at least one of the four major events.

  • Running tours for prospective Environment students and their families.
    • Tours run from 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.
  • Participate in the Warm Fuzzy campaign by writing cards or recording custom videos for prospective students.
  • Availability to for additional tasks including: responding to "Ask a Warrior" emails and social media initiatives.
