The Library was selected to pilot the introduction of Excellence Canada's Excellence, Innovation and Wellness (EIW) Standard at the University of Waterloo. The Library has a large and diverse cross-section of staff. In many ways, the Library can be seen as a microcosm of the campus employee community.
The Library achieved bronze certification in November 2014. Silver certification efforts are currently underway.
