Geography a top 50 program in the world

The Faculty of Environment's Geography program ranked 48th in the world in 2015, according to Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a UK firm that released an annual ranking of world universities today.

The University of Waterloo rose 17 places to be ranked 152nd in the world and is among just eight Canadian universities ranked in the top 200 in the world and is listed seventh of the Canadian schools.

Geography at Waterloo consists of Geography and Environmental Management, Geomatics, Geography and Aviation and the China 2+2 program.

Graduate level courses are offered at the Masters and PhD level, as well as Canada's first Master's program in Climate Change.
