Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs (GSPA) is hosting the PhD Candidacy Workshop and Celebration. GSPA recognizes the importance of milestones in all PhD students’ journeys, and we are exceptionally eager to celebrate accomplishments and to support students as their focus changes throughout their academic career. 

Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs (GSPA) is hosting a networking social for new postdocs at the University of Waterloo. This event is an excellent opportunity for postdocs entering the Waterloo community to network and socialize with their peers in person over drinks and snacks. Attendees will be introduced to GSPA supports and services with a brief orientation presentation, before having a chance to mingle and introduce themselves to other postdocs.

A doctoral degree represents the culmination of hard work and dedication; seeing it through to the finish line is a testament to hard work and perseverance!

Join us for day two of the 2023 GRADventure Professional Skills Conference! 

This annual conference is designed to help better prepare graduate students and postdocs for professional roles both within and outside of academia. UWaterloo staff and external speakers will host workshops and presentations on relevant topics from their areas of expertise. They will emphasize skills to help you succeed during your time at Waterloo, and beyond, in your future career.
