Prioritizing Wellness
As students navigate a world where young people must persevere in the face of climate disaster, broken systems, rising costs, and, worst of all, studying for midterms, how do we appropriately prioritize our wellness?
Caring for ourselves is a fundamental and essential tactic for not only surviving, but thriving and leading lives of joy and abundance.
Anvita will present key principles and tips for self-care, based on both empirical frameworks and her own experiences as a KI student. She will then share about her work at Ontario Health and what self-care looks like for her now as a young professional.
Anvita Desai, BKI’ 21, is an Equity, Inclusion, Diversity, and Anti-Racism Specialist on Ontario Health’s Provincial Equity and Indigenous Health portfolio. During her time as KI student, Anvita pursued a Cognitive Science minor and was a teaching assistant for both INTEG 220 and INTEG 221.
