Welcome to Professor Vanessa Schweizer

Dr. Vanessa Schweizer officially joins the Centre for Knowledge Integration as of September 1, 2013.

Vanessa received her doctorate in Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University in 2010, her Masters in Environmental Studies from The Evergreen State College in 2007, and her BS in Physics with minors in Mathematics, Philosophy, and Speech Communication from the University of Nevada in 2001. She is currently a Postgraduate Scientist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado with the Climate Change Research Group. Dr. Schweizer's research interests include interdisciplinary and multi-scale scholarship on the societal dimensions of climate change, and decision making under uncertainty and how information gains credibility in such contexts.
