Trying to create a well-researched and well-written essay? Attend the “Turbo Charge Your Term Paper” workshop to help you get started! The Library and the Writing and Communication Centre present a 30-minute lesson on addressing the most common problems in the researching and writing process, followed by time to work through your own assignment and receive one-on-one help, regardless of where you are in the researching/writing process. Attend the lesson, drop in for a consultation, or both!
This workshop is geared towards graduate students and researchers who wish to conduct a systematic review for either a thesis, coursework or journal publication. A ‘systematic review’, as opposed to a traditional literature review, uses a structured methodology to answer a focused research question. It is transparent, reproducible, and involves an exhaustive search of the literature using explicit criteria for study selection.
We are so excited to be a part of #GoosechaseUW - a campus-wide scavenger hunt during happening March 11 to 15!

Our freedom to read can never be taken for granted. Our main Library's namesake, Dana Porter, himself stood for intellectual freedom, and struck down a ban on the book Fanny Hill in 1964 while serving as Chief Justice of the Ontario Court of Appeal.
Check out the Freedom to Read Week book display in Dana Porter this week. Take a pic with your favourite banned book and our phoenix wings and show us your freedom to read.
This Fair Dealing Week, support #faircopyright by taking advantage of Creative Commons-licensed material. Creators of the images below have licensed their work CC-0, putting them in the public domain. This means that you can share, use and remix these images…into the perfect meme!

Join the Library as we celebrate the launch of the Library's first Art in the Library exhibit, Transforming Spaces.
