On October 3, 2017, five 1979 graduates of the Management Sciences Master's program - Patrick Abbott, Kent Hippolyte, Harald Mayer, Jorge Medina, and Stuart Stark - visited the department and met with current professors as well as graduate and undergraduate students.
The five alumni learned about new department programs and offerings and shared experiences from their long and distinguished international careers in the United States, Europe, Mexico, Canada, and the Caribbean.
In a special session with first-year students in the MSCI 100 course, the visitors shared a number of lessons learned from their various management and consulting roles and encouraged students to develop not only technical and problem solving skills, but also soft skills such as positive attitude, motivation, engagement, dedication, and teamwork.
