A group of Engineering graduate students won first prize in the Wideman Education Awards, Ontario competition, which promotes socially oriented project work. Taru Agarwal, Diana Jaber, Jithin John Matthews, Rafat Tahboosh, Jing Wu, and Alizeh Zaman completed the project as part of a Management Sciences course - MSCI 651 - International Project Management, instructed by Prof. Peter Carr.
Students in the class worked with teachers in Pakistan, sourcing online materials for the teachers to use in their work, through the Pakistani NGO - Teachers Without Frontiers. The team are one of 10 teams in the class that have been doing the work and have together found 3700 resources for the teachers.
