Biographical sketch: Walter Klaassen (May 27, 1926-) was born in Laird, Saskatchewan. On June 7, 1952 he married Ruth Dorean Strange; they had three children.
Klaassen received his doctorate from Oxford University in 1960. He has taught at Bethel College (North Newton, Kan.)(1961-1964) and Conrad Grebel College (Waterloo, Ont.) until his retirement. He was chaplain of Conrad Grebel College from 1964-1970. He has published numerous popular and scholarly articles. He and Ruth retired in Vernon, B.C.
Custodial history: The records were received by the Archives before 2010, except for file 7, which was received in 2017.
