Epp fonds homepage

Dates of creation: [1958?]-[198-]

Physical description: 24.2 m of textual records

Custodial history: These records were donated to the Mennonite Archives of Ontario by Helen Epp about 1990.

Scope and content: This series comprises the majority of the fonds. It documents Epp's professional and political careers, his volunteer services, his writing projects, and his wide-ranging personal and academic interests.

Files in this series were organized by Frank H. Epp according to the Phonetic Classification Index developed by the Mount Vernon Foundation. The index allowed the user to organize files under 43 major subject headings; Epp used all 43 headings plus one additional (89. Research).

Supporting the subject files is the set of binders provided by the Mount Vernon Foundation with instructions and materials to index the collection; and a subject index to the files created by Epp, called the "ABC files."

Note: Most published materials were noted and withdrawn from this series; many were transferred to the CGUC library. Some records were transferred to other fonds within the Mennonite Archives of Ontario. All of these decisions are documented in the file lists.
