The music featured this term is an eclectic mix, and includes a piece called Birdland by Weather Report. Known for their jazz fusion style incorporating rock, funk, and world music, this piece has been arranged for big band by other artists. Other pieces include the following: One Note Samba / Round Midnight / For Lena & Lennie / How Sweet It Is / Secret Smiles / Witch Craft. The UWaterloo Jazz Ensemble is directed by Michael Wood, a well known local vibrist and director.
Admission to the concert is free, and there will be a short reception in the atrium after the concert.
